Slippery Elm has been used traditionally in Western herbal medicine for its demulcent and nutritive actions. Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to:
- Reduce loose stools and diarrhoea
- Relieve mild gastrointestinal tract inflammation
- Soothe irritated tissues and gastro-intestinal tract mucous membranes
No added gluten, soya bean, milk, lactose, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, crustacea, egg or sesame seeds. No added artificial sweeteners, colours or flavours. Vegan friendly.
Warnings:
- Contraindicated in intestinal obstruction
- Consume at least 2 hours away from ingestion of medication
- Take with plenty of water to reduce the risk of oesophageal obstruction
- Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3 - 6 years, 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years
