Rachel Horn, Clinical Nutritionist, BHSc(Clinical Nutrition) and Homeobotanical Practitioner (Certificate in Homeobotanicals)
Rachel Horn is a Clinical Nutritionist and Homeobotanical Practitioner with a passion for supporting mums and children to thrive. Combining scientific expertise with personal experience, Rachel provides personalised, practical, and judgement-free guidance for families navigating children’s nutrition, feeding challenges, allergies, picky eating, and overall family wellbeing. She also specialises in women’s health, with a particular focus on postpartum support, helping new mothers recover, rebuild energy, and optimise their health during the early stages of motherhood.
Rachel’s approach is warm, approachable, and holistic. She creates strategies that are realistic and sustainable, gently guiding families to make choices that fit seamlessly into busy family life. Her care is centred on empowerment — ensuring parents feel confident and supported every step of the way.
Her own journey into clinical nutrition is deeply personal. As a first-time mother, Rachel faced the challenges of breastfeeding, mixed feeding, and childhood allergies while also managing her own health conditions, including PCOS, hypothyroidism, and recurrent miscarriages. These experiences have shaped her empathy and compassion, giving her a unique ability to connect with families facing similar struggles. She draws on this lived wisdom to provide practical, easy-to-implement solutions that truly make a difference in daily life.
Rachel’s professional experience includes serving as a Consumer Representative for the Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) Meals on Demand project, where she helped redesign the hospital menu to offer nutrient-dense meals that improve children’s health outcomes and experiences in care. She has undertaken further study and mentorship in paediatric nutrition and is currently completing a six-month microbiome mentorship with Dr Brad Leech, where she is expanding her expertise in microbiome health, navigating complex cases, and interpreting microbiome reports.
